The Other Side - The process
Stage 1
I started a series of paintings experimenting with oil on paper. This was one of them – a rather wild, unstructured and mad start – just going with the flow and working intuitively.
Stage 2
Moving into a process of making changes, assessing these and thinking about the next move. This is like having a conversation with the painting. I love thinking of the painting process in this way. Gary Wragg, an abstract painter in the UK used these words when talking about his work during a workshop that I attended at Seawhite Studio in the UK.
